Welcome to the FIFTH season of Gangster Arena - an idle strategy game on Blast. We're extremely excited to have you onboard this journey. Our team believes that blockchain enables net new experiences for players, and Gangster Arena is an attempt to turn the game of crypto into an actual high-stakes game of risk, reward, game theory, and strategy.

We have reworked our Blast Gold distribution approach following feedback from the community and discussions with Blast foundationn.
We believe Gangster Arena is a novel game that is the perfect showcase of what a crypto game can look like. However, a major issue holding back our growth has been that its hard for new players to try the game.
We are introducing thugs as a way to let people get a taste of the strategic, idle fun of Gangster Arena, without significantly affecting the core game mode.
How it works:
Players can get 5 free Thugs for free upon login
Players can link wallets that are part of partnered communities to claim additional Thugs (max 50)
Receive 2x Thugs for sharing on X
Thugs generate $POOR - used to buy more Thugs or bid for rewards
Thug Rewards per Day
We are also introducing a "Beginners Bundle" so new players can spend 2.5K POOR and ETH to get Gangsters and Goons at a 20% discount (one-time only).
Last season we saw a lot of potential in raids but also a few issues, including:
Lack of strategic flexibility (being locked into a "build")
Smaller players don't have any counterplay vs bigger players
"Stagnant" strategies (players attacking the same players)
Negative points being a bad experience
We are making a number of changes so raids should be more strategic:
Pistols & shields are now one-time use, so players can change strategies
Players can "opt out" of raids by not deploying, which adds to strategy
Players get 50% less points for attacking much smaller targets, to make attacks closer & more interesting
Players will have defence streaks: lose 2+ wars and your gangsters get more alert and your defence will increase, win 2+ wars and your defence will go decrease
Players will earn an increasing amount of "bonus" points each war, which should result in less players having negative points and escalating stakees during the season
We want to give players more opportunities to win and more strategic options.
35% of rewards will go towards a midseason leaderboard which ends after 5 days. After this the leaderboards will reset and remaining rewards paid out at the end of the season.
No units or earning will reset.

We have a new referral system where players can give a 1% $GREED discount to friends and get 1% of what they spend.
Partner creators and communities can get a custom code that gives a 2.5% discount. DM us if you have an audience you think would be interested in Gangster Arena.

Rebalanced rank rewards curve to be more "flat" in the top 15 ranks
