New Season: Rush

Welcome to Season 7!

Season 7 of Gangster Arena brings refined balancing, new rewards, and increased accessibility to enhance your strategic experience. Based on feedback from Season 6, we’ve fine-tuned features like Augments, Raids, Units, and the Auction House, so players at every level can jump into competitive, rewarding gameplay. Let’s take a look at what’s new this season!


Rewards

We have committed 1 ETH + 0.1% $xU.

In addition, the prize pool will grow whenever players spend:

  • 100% of ETH spent in Gangster presale

  • 90% of $GOLD spend to player rewards (remaining 10% burned)


Augments Update

Augments have been rebalanced to align with player feedback and usage patterns in Season 6, adding more depth to your choices:

  • Adjusted Bonuses:

    • Reduced flat attack and defense bonus from 50/100/200/400 to 40/80/160/320.

    • Increased instant xGOLD rewards from 10/20/40/100k to 15/30/60/120k.

    • Increased Gangster bonuses from 2/4/10/20 to 3/6/15/30.

  • Reduced Reroll Costs:

    • The first roll is now 20,000 $GOLD, with subsequent rerolls at just 10,000 $GOLD, making rerolls more accessible for all players.


Raid Adjustments

We’ve made several changes to the raid mechanics to further balance competitive play and discourage exploitative tactics:

  • Increased Point Reduction: The penalty for defeating players with negative raid points has been increased from -30% to -50% to discourage excessive farming of low-tier targets.

  • Defense Streak Modifier Reduced: Defense streak multipliers are now 20%, down from 25%.

  • Failed Attacks No Longer Lose Gangsters: Players no longer lose gangsters after a failed attack.

  • Minimum Raid Power: Raid power now has a minimum threshold of 10% of raid points, reducing the effectiveness of opting out in the top ranks.

    • Formula: raid_power = max(total_attack_power + total_defense_power + #_gangsters earning, [10%] * raid points)


Unit Balancing

This season, we’ve made adjustments to units and their costs to allow for more strategic price fluctuations:

  • Increased Daily $POOR from Thugs: Thugs now generate 300 $POOR per day, up from 250.

  • Rebalanced Scaling Costs: To introduce more price dips:

    • Power ratio increased from 2 to 2.5.

    • Target prices reduced for Goons and Safehouses from 2000 to 1500.

    • Gangster starting price dropped from 1000 to 0.


Auction House Updates

We’ve revamped the Auction House to create a fairer and more rewarding system for all players:

  • Removed $GOLD Rewards for Thugs: Due to sybil and multi-account exploitation, $GOLD rewards for thugs are now removed.

  • Enhanced F2P Rewards: Added higher-value rewards to encourage free-to-play engagement:

    • Horde of Gold: 5 winners receive 50,000 xGOLD each.

    • Gangster Bonus: 10 winners receive 5 Gangsters each.


Other Key Updates

  • Season Duration Reduced: The season duration is now 11 days, with a 5-day midseason, to add more dynamic pacing.

  • Rank Rewards Tweaked: Minor adjustments to rank rewards, reducing rewards for ranks 1-3 and increasing rewards for ranks 8-10 by 0.25%.

  • Revised Starter Pack: Now available for a flat price of 0.01 ETH, with increased rewards to eliminate high prices from the Dutch auction format.

  • Lowered Starting Price for Dutch Auction: The starting price for Gangsters in the Dutch auction has been reduced from 20,000 to 15,000 $GOLD.
